Sir Abrigans 2023

Despite its freshness, Sir Abrigans is the boldest wine of the estate and its character comes from the elevage that occurred in old barrels. Reductive at first, the nose goes from very smoky, almost volcanic fragrances to black currants and blackberries. On the palate, The palate contrasts with the nose, fresh, light, sapide, it comes with medium tannins depending on the serving temperature.

Tech facts:
100% young Syrah (20 years old) on a cool clay-schist terroir by the riverside, with deep soils. Traditional maceration for one week on destemmed grapes, with temperature control around 22-25°C to limit extraction and preserve aromatic freshness. Good ripeness in the Syrah, without extracting heavy tannins, to maintain a nice acidity. Aged in old barrels and demi-muids for 9 months.No added sulfites No herbicides, no mineral fertilisation, no pesticides. Bottled without fining and filtration.
