Régnié - Tomix 2021

Thomas’ wines have aroused a lot of curiosity in this rather traditional region located just a stone’s throw away from Côte de Py. Tomix unleashes fragrant aromas of black fruits, violet, liquorice and umami, which according to Thomas, is due to the soils, which has of one Beaujolais' highest concentration of Granit. Granitic arenite, silicium, pink granite and blue rocks are bringing the profound depth and richness of this young Cru forward. Classic and yet modern, Tomix reminds you that Beaujolais' winemakers have never stopped to be innovators.

Tech facts: 

50/60 years old goblet trained vines. Low yields (40 hl/ha)

Vinification: Whole bunches are handpicked in small crates, strict selection in the vineyard. Short carbonic fermentations. Maceration in concrete vats. 

Terroir: The soils are composed of Granites and Piémonts. Granitic arenite, silicium, pink granite and blue rocks.

Vintage: Cooler than 2020, the wine gains in precision and lightness.
