Pie Meudon is exactly what you expect from a Pinot Noir from Burgundy.
It has exactly the right level of alcohol—none of those over-extracted Pinots at 14% that overwhelm the mouth with overripe fruit and exaggerated tannins.

Its nose is centered on red fruits, blackcurrant, and a hint of pine sap.
The oak used for the barrels comes from certified forests in Tronçais and Jupille—basically the Rolls Royce of oak.

On the palate, it’s fresh, juicy with earthy notes that transport you to the dense forests overlooking the Burgundian vineyards. 2023 was a beautiful vintage, already showing well. The violet notes add charm to the already sparkling fruit. The tannins are pronounced but smooth. The 20% new oak, lightly toasted, brings flattering depth without masking the wine’s natural character.

It’s beautiful. This is the Burgundy I love. Bring out the cured sausage! 🤤
