Historically, Chardonnay was allowed in the blend of Anjou in the Loire, where Chenin is king. Two of the world's white favourite grapes together, no wonder why the glass smells like a bouquet of flowers and a fruit basket š. Honeysuckle, jasmin, fresh linen. The first sip opens on gentle crisp citruses and orchard fruits such as apple and pear. 11% alcohol, quite unbelievable since the wine never runs out of concentration and persistency. Long finish on salt š.
The wine's name is a wordplay between Rodin's thinker and Rattan weaving. Good winemaking requires patience and balance.
