If you are considering buying la Bôle, make sure you are familiar with Trousseau first. It's a high-voltage wine that comes with a condensed package of red berries, Espelette pepper and typical French cooking herbs. If served too cold, the tannins can seem a bit grippy. The wine will definitely get better with time but we have so little of it that time isn't necessarily what we have 😅
2023 being a fresher vintage than 2022, this wine trades some of the extra generosity for more balance between the texture, the acidity and the bitters. Note that 2023 is, according to locals, the best vintages in Jura in 30 years 💫
