Entremêlés has a dress and a nose that remind me of the great Chenin Blanc from Savennières.
It's like smelling a bottle of Chenin N°5 ✨
It has it all. The giant bouquet of aromatic flowers, the honey pot, the jar of dried infusion flowers, the vial of ginger and spices. For the Frenchies who read this, it reminds me a lot of Chouchen. As the nose opens, even more mouthwatering scents jump out of the glass. Saffron, hazelnut and brioche 🤤
The first sip is insane, almost overwhelming. The honey and the citrus mark the attack while the ginger makes you discover new parts of your tongues that you didn't know you had. Seamlessly, the marzipan takes over. Full bodied, yes. stuffy, no m'am. The finish is long, long, long, omg it keeps on giving, until the last note, apple pie cooked on its buttery puff pastry.
